Schedule of Events

10:00 AM – Parade
Curt Simmons will be the grand marshal of the parade that will include the Phillie Phanatic, veterans of the military, descendants of the park’s early founders, and many others.  Let’s show our community spirit and line Main Street!  Please come out early.

The event organizers are searching for descendants of the park's founders to march in the parade. The following is a list of people instrumental in establishing the Egypt Memorial Park. If you are a child, grandchild, or great-grandchild of any founder, you are invited to march in the parade. 11:30 AM – Field Dedication Ceremony 

We will be dedicating our newly renovated baseball field as “Simmons Field,” in honor of Curt Simmons and his father, Lawrence, who was instrumental in the original construction of the field.  Dallas Green, manager of the 1980 World Series Champion Phillies will be a special guest.

1:30 PM – Blue Mountain League Baseball

 Starters Orioles vs. Berlinsville Braves

3:30 PM – DJ – Tom Calvin’s Oldies

6:00 to 10:00 PM – Live entertainment by the Aardvarks

Baseball and Egypt Memorabilia

The pavilion will be featuring memorabilia from Curt Simmons, Egypt Little League baseball, Blue Mountain League baseball, and general Egypt history. 

If you have any historical items you would like to lend to the event, please contact us.  We are especially in need of Egypt baseball history, including photos, newspaper articles and trophies. 

Plenty of Food & Beverages

Food provided by Geakers Tacos.  Menu includes hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken fingers, tacos, french fries, pierogies, ice cream and much more.  The park has a special permit to serve beer for the day

Commemorative Program

The program will include stories on Curt Simmons, Egypt Park history, Egypt town history, many photos, and advertisements from our sponsors.

Volunteers
